The Customer Development (CD) Finance Director is a senior and strategic finance leader role. This individual will partner with Vietnam Head of CD (cum Head of Country), CD Leadership Team (CDLT), Business Unit Commercial Leads to translate Business Unit strategies into a channel and customer-focused agenda. This role encompasses a wide range of strategic topics including customer/channel strategy and investment model, return on investment, pricing management, competitor and customer intelligence, performance management and decision support. Reporting to the Vietnam Vice President Finance, CD Finance Director will play a pivotal role in Finance Leadership Team to co-create National Finance Agenda including the Talent Development, Organization, Capabilities and Culture. This individual would not only develop his CD Finance Team but also contribute to the success and development of Vietnam Finance Team and Vietnam Leadership Team.

Main Accountabilities
 

  • Finance Business Partner to Head of CD (cum Head of Country) and BU Commercial Lead/Finance Lead to ensure BU strategies are translated and executed well in the market. Framing and supporting trade-offs discussion across the business to ensure lands its top and bottom line targets.
  • Define the strategy, operating and investment model by channels and customers.
  • Lead the continuous improvement of efficiency and effectiveness of our trade investments.
  • Identify and drive the development and implementation of Gross Margin roadmaps across the channel and customers
  • Key member of the Vietnam Finance leadership team responsible for development and execution of the VN Finance agenda both business and people agenda.
  • Lead, inspire and coach a team of designated and agile business partners. Lead the thinking on new business models including supporting the e commerce team
  • Provide analysis and actionable insights on customers and competitors

Requirements

  • Over 10 years experiences in business partnering roles preferably within Marketing or CD, with strong strategic thinking and strong engagement to stake holders.
  • Ability to balance the big picture / long term aspect of strategic plan, with key performance interventions required to ensure the business remains on the right path
  • Experience of working in cross functional teams within a matrix environment desirable.
  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders in and outside Vietnam
  • Manage & inspire team with new way of working, new capabilities and drive insights to actions
  • Business Transformation experience as a plus
