JOB OVERVIEW
• We are currently looking for an Database Administrator (Oracle) to join our project team, which is one of the UK’s leading financial and online retail corporations, with annual revenue exceeding £2.2 billion

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Ruby and Cucumber.
• Apply CPU and PSU patches to R12.1 applications and 19c databases, maintaining system security and compliance.
• Manage Oracle 19c databases and R12.1 applications
• Perform installation, configuration, administration, tuning, migration, and production support for RAC and Non-RAC databases.
• Handle RMAN restore, cloning and refresh operations which involves restore from backup, roll forward, rebuild etc.
• Manage DR activities such as handling/troubleshooting DR out-of-sync issues, DR configuration, etc.
• Perform Health checks include tablespace usage, disk usage, backup checks, Front end access and cluster services checks.
• Import the database wallet via orapki command. has knowledge of ACL concept

Yêu cầu công việc

• Experience in performing migration and building Oracle RAC databases and applications, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
• Proficiency in ASM and Grid infrastructure installations – Install and configure ASM and Grid infrastructure
• Has knowledge in handling and troubleshooting backup and recovery strategies, including cold backup, hot backup, RMAN incremental, and archival backups.
• Strong background in installation, configuration, administration, tuning, migration, and production support of databases.
• Ability to automate monitoring processes (e.g., Database Growth scripts, Tablespace monitor scripts).
• Proficiency in tuning databases and SQL statements, export/import of databases.
• Has knowledge in memory tuning, SQL tuning, index rebuild, table defragmentation etc.
• Excellent team collaboration skills, including tasking, monitoring, feedback, skill upgrade, issue resolution, motivation, and mentoring.
• Rotational Shift-working in 24×7 or 24×5 services or working in UK time zone
